Elena Nordé - Co-Founder & CEO

Elena Nordé is the visionary Co-Founder and CEO behind GenStem, a pioneering black-owned mother-daughter brand on a mission to empower women of color to prioritize their health, beginning with brainstem wellness. Elena's journey towards founding GenStem was deeply influenced by her early life experiences. Born prematurely, she witnessed firsthand the challenges of health disparities, particularly in maternal mortality and infertility among women of color. Her upbringing in her mother's herb shop, where she observed the transformative power of education and herbal supplements, planted the seeds for her future endeavors in health advocacy.

Elena's passion for addressing health disparities was further fueled by her mother's battle with uterine fibroids, a fight that ultimately inspired Elena to join forces with her mom in the pursuit of proactive solutions for their community. Recently diagnosed with lumbar scoliosis, Elena's personal health journey has deepened her understanding of the interconnectedness of the brainstem, spinal cord, and central nervous system in overall wellness.

With over 12 years of experience in creative writing, communications, and marketing, Elena brings a diverse skill set to her leadership role at GenStem. Her career has spanned broadcast journalism, film and television, and corporate communications, where she made history at her company by being the founder of their first race-based employee resource group, garnering over 2000 members globally and paving the way for other race-based ERG's to be formed.

Driven by a deep-rooted desire to uplift marginalized voices and amplify untold stories, Elena is committed to using GenStem as a platform for change. She sees her role as a bridge-builder, connecting like-minded individuals and sparking meaningful transformations within her community and beyond. Through GenStem, Elena is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of women of color, empowering them to prioritize their health and thrive in every aspect of their lives.
